Absolute gem of a find! 10' from the STP route and will forever be our stop anytime we are in the area. Incredible steamed sandwiches - try the Loose Goose and dip into tomato soup - pickles, and a affordable and tasty drinks. Can't recommend highly enough. These are the places you read about (maybe Instagram nowadays). Will be back.

Greeted by a great bartender and clean surroundings, this place has a tight delicious Midwest sammie menu that satisfies. Great homemade sides! The dirty tots were amazing with the comeback sauce. Can't wait to come again for the cake and more drinks. Quirky collection of decor to keep your eyes busy for hours if you're not into conversation. Oh, and a dedicated Coors tap with absolutely fair pricing! These folks are doing it right!

I am a sandwich enthusiast, so when I read about a steamed sandwich, I was intrigued. We finally stopped in and it did not disappoint. It's definitely yummy. We both got the roast beef, mac salad and tator tots. It comes with a pickle platter, which was fantastic. The mac salad was great too. The cherry limeade was yummy. Intriguing decor and lots to adore. The staff was friendly, service was great and the food was good. Its a small menu, but we'll be back to try the other sandwiches. Definitely worth a stop!

We grab sandwiches from here often. All of the options are pretty tasty. Wasn’t sure at first what I would think of a steamed sandwich, but we keep going back for more, so I guess we’re fans :) And our boys love the tater tots. The cucumber salad is also really good!! Fresh with lots of flavor.

I ordered the mushroom sandwich. It came with havarti cheese & special sauce on a buttered hoagie bun. I have never tried a steamed sandwich, and I don't know how I can eat an average sandwich ever again. The service was great. She was friendly and kind. Atmosphere is dark and moody with a cozy pub feel. I think it has inspired me to paint my walls dark green.

I had the loose goose sandwich and it was absolutely delicious! Paired with a 5 mug of High Life, you really can't beat the prices. The bartender was a lot of fun and the restaurant itself is cozy, clean, and full of really eclectic old relics. The complimentary pickle plate was a nice touch, too. The only thing I didn't love was the macaroni salad (it was void of any flavor but still looked pretty) but considering the price and how wonderful everything else was, I don't mind - definitely look forward to going back and trying out everything else they have to offer!

We stopped here for the first time. We had no idea what to expect. We had our big truck and were happy to find a large parking area behind the business. We were warmly greeted by the lady behind the counter. The menu is simple, and the beer was inexpensive. Our 16 oz. Ipa's were 4. Our sandwiches were great, with condiments on the side. The tomato soup was really good, and we suspect it was homemade. They had two monitors playing two different episodes of PeeWee's Playhouse. We asked about it and were told that the owner had requested that it be streamed. It wasn't until we were home that we learned Paul Reubens had passed from a private bout with cancer. Loved our visit, and will return.

About 40 minutes outside of Portland and well worth the drive! Quaint house-style bar and restaurant that feels super cozy and welcoming. The steamed sandwiches are delicious! We ordered the house special, Loose Goose, the ham and the pepperoni. They were all delicious!! The cucumber salad is the perfect side to cleanse your palate between bites of rich, cheesy sandwich and the complimentary pickle plate was a delicious way to spice up each bite of sandwich. Cocktails were very tasty as well. The decor is fantastic! I want to take the bar seats home! Loved sitting in the cozy corner booth. The Tricky Triangle game on each table brought back so many childhood memories! Very good signage directing you into the parking lot. Ample parking. Very friendly service!!!
